Recover the wide-text buffer input to the Windows line-break predicate

checked · by Commit-Will · submitted 2026-11-02

Win00526d30 records its first ECX value as int32_t, but every use treats it as a two-byte text-array base with a separate character index. Four actual calls in three complete callers pass original text slices or file-text views selected by WORD markers/swapping/native byte-to-WORD widening. Word-zero scanning, two-byte copying/termination, CR/LF/tab/space processing and punctuation comparisons establish a WCHAR view beyond names or physical load width. Retype only ECX:4 pWszText to existing WCHAR*, preserving selected names, BOOL result, EDX nPos, arity and fastcall. Original expected-SHA PE, fresh DB and separate assembly agree on2651 owned code bytes/868instructions;24 unowned alignment bytes are separately verified. All opaque continuations remain conditional IFreturns. No helper/field/ABI/source edit, runtime/build/validity promise or narrower fallback; any contrary evidence/refusal holds this whole input claim.
