The Mac body is empty (PUSH EBP / MOV EBP,ESP / POP EBP / RET). The caller SocketThreadMain 0x002f5871 stores one arg, [ESP]=0. Matches the Windows twin 0x00407f90 (void; nReserved, always 0 and unread).
