Name the Mac font glyph-selector global consistently with its Windows counterpart

checked · by eejitgames · submitted 2026-11-06

Mac DAT_00432094 is the counterpart of Windows gpfnFontGetCharWidth (00841da0). Its writers select 000472e8 (direct 14-byte glyph indexing, fallback for characters >=256) or 00047327 (binary search of 14-byte records, fallback at +0x1b2). Windows selects equivalent 00501650/00501690 through 00841da0. Both font initializers choose by language; both font setters use the Korean-chat/font-13 override; both width loops call the slot with a character and read glyph byte+3. Rename only the Mac default global to the already-chosen Windows name. All three Mac writes, callback bodies and representative indirect use inspected. No matching issue/proposal found. Callback typing needs a separate existing-type solution; this claim establishes the symbol's identity and preserves chosen names.
