Mac body reads [EBP+8] exactly once (0x000951ef) and forwards it as the only argument of the background-sound setter call at 0x000951f5; ECX/EDX are not inputs; the rest initialises the sound tables and channels. Windows twin SOUNDHDR_Init 0x00482260 is void (undefined4 bBackgroundActive); BOOL fits its use as an on/off flag.
